The pond was cool, as it always was placed in the well landscaped area, inclusive of rocks and grass and mud, which smelt nothing like Earth mud after the rain, much to Evelyn's disappointment. One of those rocks was a perfect seat for her as she dipped her feet in the water with her trousers rolled up. In her hands, she held a book, 'The Importance of being Earnest' by Oscar Wilde, one of her favourite Earth classics.

To put it lightly, Evelyn had had a rough day and that in fact was putting it too lightly. She'd been given a day off as a result and to get her mind off things, she was doing some light reading in one of her favourite places on the Aurora. She definitely wasn't in her best state of mind but she was trying her best to forget, to push whatever had happened to the back of her mind. Reading was helping, but not enough. Every once in a while, she would have to close the book, take a breath, try and push the images away and then get back to the book. She turned a page, pushed a bit of her hair behind her ear and sighed as she continued reading.
