Evelyn nodded, "although you're the first I've ever met of your kind, I do know of them, I know your people are peaceful but we've got to be sure. It's not a matter of mistrust, it's just precaution against anything that may happen."
Tash still looked a bit upset, "If you must know, what I carry in my pack, is my people's technology. It might look like seeds, or plants, or small one cell orgamisms to you, but it's all the gear I need to survive. Much more practical in small packets, or in inate form. It's not dangerous...well....moderately. It can get tempermental if it's not treated right or properly. But only when it's grown. You're not to...."
Suddenly a new person entered and came in. Made his introductions and Tash was still in a foul mood, "As for me....I don't like being scanned. Maybe to you it's routine. But not for me. Not unless you find another Mala'shra to do it or someone close to my age. For I will have no human touch me." Tash was only being defensive because her people were very protective of themselves and their technology. They just weren't comfortable being poked or proded by others, even if it was routine.

Evelyn knew immediately that the day wasn't going to go so well as soon as she spotted William Sharp. "Oh no," she muttered under her breath, He came over to them with his usually creepy smile. Evelyn had always thought there was something odd about him but she could never quite place what. She was oddly uncomfortable around him, and she couldn't say she was fond of him at all.
"Hello Capitan" he said in a calm and normal voice looking to Evelyn, he smiled looking her over and being obvious with it "hello doctor." Her first instinct would have been to kick him, either that or at least punch him in the face but she held back, thinking it was better to keep it the way it was. "Good afternoon," she said with cold civility, trying her best to contain her anger.
"Hello beauty" he said after a few seconds of just looking at Tash. Evelyn clenched her fist in anger and then sighed, everything about William Sharp annoyed her, or at least irritated her in some way. "Her name," she said, her tone obviously slightly annoyed, "is Ta'sheeka Nirata and if you want to know, no she will not be staying in a cell for long."
Tash spoke up then, "As for me....I don't like being scanned. Maybe to you it's routine. But not for me. Not unless you find another Mala'shra to do it or someone close to my age. For I will have no human touch me." Tash was only being defensive and Evelyn could see that. She shook her head and sighed, "I understand that it may be disrespectful to your culture but it is standard procedure, just so you will be free to be on board the Aurora." She looked straight at Tash, "Look, I don't want to keep you here, if there is no reason for you to be here and because I feel partially responsible for putting you in here. I respect your views, Tash but there are no other Mala'shra on board, not that I know of. I don't know your age yet but we will try and find someone your age and if you are fine with the person we choose, we will go on with the check. Until then, I'm afraid you may have to be in here. You've just delayed the check and in doing so increased the amount of time you will have to spend in here. My idea was to have you out as soon as possible. I'm sorry, Tash." She lowered her head.

Tash sighed, she might have been willing to trust them, but it was the appearance of another person, who made her a bit hesitant. "It is our custom. What do you know of my race? What secrets do you know? Answer me truthfully what you know, and I may let you proceed. If you can not, then I am perfectly content to stay here, till my other conditions are met."

Sharp watched as the two women conversed, watching them with cold blue eyes his face unmoving and a serious look plastered on it. He stood straight and cleared his throat "well when this lovely Ta'sheeka Nirata awnsers your questions I will be most glad to do a rutine check on her, as I'am one o the few scientists upon this ship" he said confident of his words. Though he knew he was the last thing the captian and the docter wanted Ta'sheeka Nirata to be handed over to. And it was true if she was handed over, well it wouldn't be a pleasent experiance.
He swallowed a lump in his throat and his eyes flickered to the woman on the other side of the bars again "and I'am far from a human, unlike these two, I am a fellow universe dweller and I understand what you must have gone through, as part of the Xona people I assure you will not be harmed..." his calm voice trailed off and he looked to the captian "at least not by myself" he said smirking.

"Truthfully, I only know what I have read and what little I know from word of mouth and then all that you have told me, that's all, Tash. Neither the Captain nor I would want to cause any harm to you, please understand that." It was on purpose that she didn't mention Sharp.

"Stop it!" Evelyn said, her tone venomous but voice relatively calm, "whether or not you are human does not matter Mr.Sharp. I-" She stopped, calming herself, 'I don't trust you', that's what she was going to say but didn't, "what about Doctor Adri or Doctor Rodham, either one of them should be appropriate," Evelyn suggested. "What do you think, Captain?"

Tash looked thoughtful, "What have you heard from others? My people are known for their secrets. What do you know of me? What happens to me as...." Tash's head bowed in solumness, "Unlike any race the Mala'shra are...diffrent. I fear...." Tash didn't want to say she feared that she might become a lab rat. Feared that her blood and samples of her cells would be taken to develop something to retard human or other races aging.

Tash face looked firm and mortifed slightly. "NO....." She said very firmly. He reminded her too much of the Elders. Manipulative and cold, with the faces and bodies, that other races would take to be children. The Elders, because of their age, were the strongest in their telepathic connection to other Mala'shra and to the planet. It was such a mindset that made them, devious and cunning. Tash knew from her many years that power corrupts.

I-" She stopped, calming herself, 'I don't trust you', that's what she was going to say but didn't, "what about Doctor Adri or Doctor Rodham, either one of them should be appropriate," Evelyn suggested. Tash bowed her head respectfully, "Sadly, I do not think anyone will fit what I desire. I will modify my request then. I will have no one but a Shi look at me. For I have heard that they are wise and known for being trustworthy. "

"If all is clean - and she poses no threat - then of course she's welcomed aboard my ship." The Captain fell into a respectful silence as Tash stated her discomforts, and the entry of one the scientists made Craig's eyes dart from the female pair to the newcomer. Sawyer simply nodded to the inhuman man. He already knew all about Sharp and how he was wearing a human-like-jacket-type-thing; giving him the strange qualities that could be viewed. He was the Captain - he hand selected his crew, and Sharp was chosen near the end - mostly due to the fact that their 'alliance' was always questioned...but they needed brilliant scientists. With William's remark to Evelyn, the Captain's eyes shot back to the Xona. He was a protective man - never letting anyone even be slightly unkind to his friends...which often got him in trouble...
The trust issue was brought up between the two people other than himself, that wasn't in the holding cell. "Sharp - easy," the Captain ordered, as their argument got slightly heated, "You too, Cartwright."
"Sadly, I do not think anyone will fit what I desire. I will modify my request then. I will have no one but a Shi look at me. For I have heard that they are wise and known for being trustworthy. " Tash decided. "We have several Shi's aboard - even some that are Doctors. I, myself, are half Shi. Shall I escort you to the Infirmary?"

Evelyn shook her head, "All I know is who you are and where you are from, basic facts, not enough, and I'm not asking you to even tell me about your race, unless of course you want to. I'm only concerned because I don't want to have someone who is not meant to be in a cell stuck in here because of me."
"Sharp - easy," the Captain ordered, as their argument got slightly heated, "You too, Cartwright."
Evelyn nodded but didn't look at the captain. Silently, she continued listening to what Tash had to say.
"Sadly, I do not think anyone will fit what I desire. I will modify my request then. I will have no one but a Shi look at me. For I have heard that they are wise and known for being trustworthy. " Tash decided. The Captain spoke up then, "we have several Shi's aboard - even some that are Doctors. I, myself, are half Shi. Shall I escort you to the Infirmary?"
"Excuse me," Evelyn said, "since this is resolved, my duties are in the Engine room." She wanted to get out of Sharp's presence as soon as possible. She looked at Tash one last time, "good luck." she said with a smile and then walked away at usually fast pace.

Tash sighed, she felt broken, somewhat. She didn't want to be searched, she didn't want to examined. She wasn't happy at all. She didn't like the idea one bit, and even though she agreed to what was a suitable compromise, it still didn't sit well with her.
Her head was bent, as if she was broken. She kept stewing in her own thoughts.

Sharp looked to the captian his blue eyes unmoving he then smiled simply and turned on his heel after the docter had left. "Captian..." he said calmly as he turned his eyes looked to the woman behind the bars, he said nothing. And just as silently as Sharp came in, he left silently.

Craig locked his eyes on Tash. With a calm smile, he unlocked the door, and stood at its opening. "Do you need a minute?" he asked, "I could order the Doctors down here to give you the checkup, or I can escort you down there. I'm sorry it has to be this way - but it's just standard procedure." he shrugged.
Craig tapped his fingers on the edge of the threshold slightly, "And am I okay to escort you, or would you prefer someone else - if you want to be escorted at all of course..."

Tash sighed, "I will be fine, I suppose. I....I don't like that man who came in. He reminds me....reminds me a bit of my people. At least of the Elders, the leaders of my people. It is not that I don't trust you captain, but I fear for my own safety. I haven't traveled all this way to become a lab rat. I nearly became one by the BMO. And I am not wanting to become one by others. Some people look at me as if I could be the elixar of life itself. I am not. It is just my biology and the biology of my people. I fear that one day, my people may be enslaved by the BMO, not as their servants but as slaves to be tested on and poked and proded."
