{Pub}
Alice sat facing her opponents, eyes narrowed as she gripped the cards in her hand.
"I call." she smirked, her lips pulling into a smug smile.
"Two twos..."
"Winner!" she proclaimed, gathering her small, but fought for winnings upon the table. She went up to the bartender and slapped down some of her new currency, a proud grin present upon her face.
"A round to everyone!" she smirked, locking eyes with the bartender for a moment, before he put down her 'normal' and grabbed the cash.

McGee looked around the bar, watching as each person received their free drink. There was a grand total of six people in there, which removed exactly 1/4 of her winnings.
"Could ya turn up the radio a little?" she asked, as the bartender turned the knob so that one of her favorite songs came into her head just a little clearer, "Thanks."

Taking a long swig, she glanced around the bar, feeling like talking to anyone and anything. She was in one of her rare 'chatty' moods.

Bev sighed, it was her usual Saturday evening job. In her waitress uniform and blonde hair pulled back, she continued clearing tables. One by one, she put the glasses on her tray, trying her best not to be clumsy. She deposited the glasses as soon and possible, emptied a couple of ash trays and before long was by the bar walking about with an empty tray, collecting glasses. She spotted the bartender, "Oh, hiya Joe," her accent was clearly Scottish and strong.

She spotted a woman around there sitting with her drink and just looking around. Bev picked up and empty glass that lay next to the woman's, "hiya, you waiting for anyone?"

"hiya, you waiting for anyone?" called a Scottish accent over Alice's shoulder. Her head snapped in the direction a little too quickly then she attended, but she still kept a calm expression upon her face.
"Uh, no. Just taking in my victory over the pathetic people who consider themselves good at poker." she smiled at the slightly familiar face.
She had seen this woman waiting tables within the pub several times before, just simply never spoke to the woman.
"Why? Do I have that pathetic 'oh come to me' expression on my face again? Damn - I hate when that happens." she joked, a little more light-hearted then normal, due to the booze that sloshed in her stomach.

Alcohol had an interesting effect on her. First there was no visual difference, but on the inside she felt a little tingly. Next comes the funny, light-hearted, 'life is good' stage. The next one is the flirty stage/mean stage. When she either flirts with any guy she spots, or ends up in a fight...sometimes at the same time. Alice McGee was an interesting specimen of a woman, in more ways then one.

Tash had finally been given a clearance. After what she had been through, she was still terriblely curious. This was the first time she had been on a ship that held humans. She didn't quite know all the social customs and various practices. She entered the pub. She wasn't sure what it was all about. She knew that humans and others often came here to drink away sorrows, pains or perhaps to celebrate good fortune. The Mala'shra was curious nonetheless and so she entered. She looked around quite curious and taking in everything around her.

Bev laughed, "yea you did," she said, not realising that she should really have lied. "I'm just finishing off with my shift and I was going to have a pint, it is a Saturday night" She put the tray down on the bar. "I'm Bev, by the way." She looked around the place and saw another woman enter, she looked slightly lost, "I'll be right back," she said to the woman she'd been talking to and went over to the stranger and smiled, "hiya, can I get you anything?"

Tash smiled a bit and took off her hat, showing the pixieish cut of her hair. "I...I...don't know. I am sort of new. What do you recomend?"

"Ohhh, you're not human," Bev said, "And it's your first drink? Come on," She took Tash's hand and pulled her along to Alice. She spoke to Alice first, "this one's first proper drink, and it's on me, what do you suggest. She's not human, by the way." She looked at Tash again, "forgot to ask your name, I'm Bev."
